Just a quick post- I've been loving everything bohemian lately- I feel like a grandma, in the best way.

Clearly, these photos were taken in warmer weather. Buffalo's forecast has really taken a turn for the worse recently, bringing damp dreary days, clouds upon clouds, and the need to turn on the thermostat that much earlier.  This was a (mostly) vintage ensemble I put together mid-summer but never blogged about.  I bring these pictures out of the archives now because I have finally gotten around to starting my own Etsy shop!  You can now shop my vintage finds, including this top (which can be styled as a shirt or a jacket) here.  I'm rapidly updating the store, so check back often. As most of you know, I'm a sucker for menswear on women; it exudes such strength and power. I added an element of sex appeal with this lacey number. The pants are vintage Dior - truly a diamond find at my local thrift shop. I won't even tell you what I paid for them - it's sinful. How do you feel about this leopard bag? I'm a bit on the fence with it. To be sure, I've been searching for a leopard print purse for some time, but I'm just not sure I'm 100% on this guy.

So I've finally hopped aboard the cargo train,  in the past I wouldn't have been caught dead in this trend but these tapered ones paired with one of my favorite H&M blouses comes off effortless and easy for a casual weekend brunch.  Next on my list is investing in a military inspired jacket.  I think olive green is quickly becoming my go to fall color.

I had a creative and lovely autumnal weekend.  It was spent drinking cider, bbqing, picking pumpkins, sampling kettle corn and tackling antique and thrift shops.  I'm happy to announce I'll be starting up my own shop!!! You'll be able to purchase my lightly worn & one of a kind vintage duds.  Shopping vintage is one of my favorite past times so I look forward to sharing my finds!  Hope everyone is getting into the fall season.... I'm off to make some homemade mac & cheese! Mmmmm

As the last days of indian summer slip away I decided to put together a last minute bohemian look.  This is the beautiful headband Tied Up and Tousled sent me, as seen in my previous post. The bag I found at the thrift store and I'm absolutely in love!  It's angora and the most beautiful shade of blue.

This outfit screams 70's love.  On my day off I visited the local thrift store and made out like a bandit.  I fell in love with this gorgeous felt hat, especially the flower detail. The clogs are basically the score of a lifetime - why anyone would NOT want them in their wardrobe is beyond me...... needless to say, I'm more than thrilled to be able to give them a home in MY closet!

I realized after the shoot that this outfit bears a striking resemblance to that worn by Jodie Foster's character in Taxi Driver (see below for the comparison). I didn't really have her in mind when I styled the look but perhaps it emerged subconsciously. Either way, I am happy with the end result.

I'm off to NYC but wanted to post quickly before heading to the airport.  I found this dress at the thrift shop last night and I'm absolutely smitten. Crochet, maxi, noir, AMAZING.  I feel like I should be attending a goth wedding. On to the shoes, die die die right?  I saw these babies on the Forever 21 website and knew they must be mine. I had been lusting after the JC pair for months but have yet to muster the necessary funds.  Finally I have my own pair of leopard wedges and I just might never take them off! 


When I found this dress it was very matronly and gloomy.  I decided to cut the lining out and add my own slip to lighten it up a bit, the intricate lace detailing becomes even more apparent with this DIY and  (I think ) adds a flair of youth to the over all ensemble.
