I very rarely discuss my family especially through this public forum, today will be the exception. I grew up in Schenectady, NY (which is a city not far from New York's capital, Albany). It's around a 4 1/2 drive from Buffalo which makes it difficult to travel back and forth on a regular basis, although I wish I could more often. I have extended family all over the states but my Mom, Dad, (currently my brother - he normally resides in Louisiana ) and grammies all call Schenectady home. I recently received news that my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I am truly at a loss. I wanted to share this critical moment in life with my readers in hopes of support, positive vibes, or stories you can share.
