(forever 21 denim vest, forever 21 leggings, h&m mens vest, forever 21 jewelry, deena & ozzy two toned wedge)

Some of these items I purchased last summer so this outfit doesn't read remarkably fresh for me. On the ups I do feel pretty rebelious in patterned leggings and a bikeresque denim vest. Last summer, it was the quintessential hipster wardrobe item (you couldn't turn a corner in Williamsburg without seeing a vest paired with lace, leather, or some other badass item)--but that was then and this is now. What do you think of the denim vest today? Has its time passed?

( forever 21 tribal skirt, black silk shirt, forever 21 linen blazer, target socks, cinythia vincent wedge)

A few weeks back I managed to snag the last pair in my size of these Cynthia Vincent for Target shoes and I have been
wearing the life out of them ever since! Even though they managed to tear apart my ankles, I still consider this pair my new
best friend.

Runway 3.0 Recap

I'm too tired to even begin to describe the craziness of this weekend, but here are a few images from Runway 3.0 and beyond.

Thanks to Stephen Soroka of Block Club Magazine for most of these pics.

(forever 21 black skinnies, forever 21 floral onesie, nine west wedge, we love colors ankle sock, ivory boyfriend blazer)

I picked up this floral body suit yesterday and just knew I had to style it up for spring. There is something so 80's about the onesie but you all know I'm a sucker for anything floral print.
We Love Colors so generously sent me these lovely ankle socks which I've been wearing non-stop with open-toed shoes.  I have to admit I was a bit hesitant to try this trend but now I'm on board 100%.  The blueish grey hue perfectly ties into the little floral details on the onesie.

in the pink

(images fashiongonerogue.com and vogue russia)

A few shots I found inspiring for Spring.  Beautiful airy neutrals look modern paired with pastel hair and neon pops of makeup.  I'm especially fond of the jaw highlight.  I think it's a defining feature of the face yet tends to be overlooked.

(forever 21 dress, target tights, deena & ozzy wedge, h&m blazer, forever 21 necklace and ring)

Last night we attended as well as djed Artvoice's (our local alternative newspaper) Best of Buffalo awards.  Shock & Awe started off the evening with the jams before everyones attention was diverted to the playoff hockey game (sports yawn).  There was plenty of free food courtesy of "the best" restaurants in the area.

I picked up this little number for $13.90.  It's well worth the cheap change as I see it transitioning from Spring to Summer.  I added a bit of the left over pink dye to my hair in hopes of enhancing the fuschia color.

My lovely dj partner and friend Jessa threw a delicious dinner party last Friday night.  The evening was filled with friends, wine, amazing food, board games, pool, and ping pong.  Jessa and her sister Julia really outdid themselves and put together a feast fit for a royal court.  The menu consisted of steamed muscles with fennel and capers, grilled Moroccan shrimp screwers, grilled zucchini stuffed with roasted red peppers and goat cheese, home made kettle chips, pizzettas, plus various spreads and dips.  I'm lucky to be surrounded by wonderful friends who enjoy the simple things in life, and have exquisite taste in cuisine.

Runway 3.0

Runway 3.0 is upon us.  Only 5 more days and counting.  For those of you who aren't familiar, Runway is a yearly fashion event that showcases local designers (and ADAM LIPPES!), as well as student designers who are completing their degree at Buffalo State College.  It's headed by the lovely Erin Habes who has been working nonstop to make this the largest and boldest show to date.
Tickets are selling fast so make sure to purchase yours soon.
Jessa and I have been working hard to get the playlist finalized.
OH AND don't forget about the
Official After Party held at Soundlab 110 Pearl St at 11PM.
Thanks again to Brandon Davis of Block Club Magazine for designing these beautiful fliers.
