(vintage levi's, thrifted bag and sandals, vintage blouse, belt  and hat)

I've been doing really well at the thrift store lately - this entire outfit from head to toe is either vintage or thrifted finds, and I scored this adorable hat for $6.98 and the shoes for under $3.00!  I have to save up for my trip to NYC next weekend, so I'm all about deals like this right now.  I really love the bow detailing found on the hat and the shoes, it's charming and the shoes are delightfully comfortable!

I wore this outfit to the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's concert at the Town Ballroom.  It turned out to be a great show made even better by the fact that one of my BFF's Jessa scored a ticket at the last minute and was able to come along.

(forever 21 silk blouse, h&m woodgrain harem pants, f21 necklace and cuff)

I wish I could have found the skeletal bone harem's when I was last in Toronto but no such luck finding  my size.  I picked these up instead as a consolation prize.  I enjoy the texture of the woodgrain juxtaposed with the bulky wedge, feathers, and fringe.  I'm bumming today, almost every time I have a day off from work it seems to rain! Can't a girl get some sun!

So inspired by these looks.  Loving the tribal patterns, fringe benefits, and serious acid washes.  Oh and hi I love you little gold sequin number, golden goddess!

(forever 21 bustier, h&m fringe bag, f21 clogs, vintage maxi dress, f21 necklace)

Still very inspired by all things native and gothic. I purchases this vintage maxi a few months ago but had yet to pair it with the perfect ensemble.  This bustier just oozes sexiness but the length of the maxi really balances it all out.

(forever 21 clogs, vintage levi's, vintage shirt, forever 21 cross necklace, h&m ring & bracelet)

A Native American inspired outfit I pieced together from Amvets, which is basically our local Salvation Army/thrift shop. I don't know if I'm transitioning early into fall but I'm very inspired by all things motorcycle and bohemian. My personal style is always day to day, and can range from girly and vintage to body conscious and trendy.  I'm also very much inspired by what I read and view, whether that be Nabokov, WWD, Yvan Rodic, or even Perez Hilton.

Kateri Tekakwitha (also known as Catherine) was an indian princess of sorts who was later beatified by the Catholic Church (her sainthood is still pending).  She lived in New York state near the Mohawk river, which happens to run very close to where I grew up. She's also a central character in  Beautiful Losers, a book written by Leonard Cohen.
She is known variously as "The Lily of the Mohawks," the "Mohawk Maiden," the "Pure and Tender Lily," the "Flower among True Men," and "The New Star of the New World." Her tribal neighbors called her "the fairest flower that ever bloomed among the redmen." Upon her death, scars that had covered her face since youth miraculously disappeared, revealing an unusually radiant face. And that is Catherine.

"And I'll dance with you in Vienna,I'll be wearing a river's disguise.
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder my mouth on the dew of your thighs And I'll bury my soul in a scrapbook, with the photographs there and the moss. And I'll yield to the flood of your beauty, my cheap violin and my cross. "- Leonard Cohen

(forever 21 body suit, shorts, and wedge, h&m bowler hat)

Ok this is kind of circus freak/ 90's queen bee, but that's just my thing as of late.  FINALLY they  finished off our roof top patio, allowing us to use it once again for photos, sunning, drinks, and entertaining (feel free to stop in).  Another hot day, summer in the city.

I've been so into onesies lately. I don't know how practical or functional they are (bathroom time can be the ULTIMATE hassle), but I keep snatching them up.  I especially like this little guy with the exposed zipper, although you can't really see it with my hair in the way- which I do desperatley need cut.  Or maybe I will just grow it forever and get the fairy tale ending.

holier-than-thou

Stunning photographs of Tanya Dzuahileva for Russian Vogue.  I love the airy, romantic quality of these.  Virginal and statuesque.
