Ok I know I know, it's a bit risqué!  I've had these tights for forever and really had no "proper" occasion to wear them to, although I find them deeply sexy and playful.  Maybe it's all the True Blood episodes I've been watching, the rosaries I've been sporting, or the Rimbaud I've been reading..... but I pushed for the architecture of the ancient and past.

These grounds also house the grave of Rick James...yeah Buffalo has had a few legends in its time.

I managed to score big time at the thrift stores today... purchased these boots for a mere $3 (totally JC look a likes!). Among my other finds were a floral maxi dress, studded cowboy boots, an eyelet blouse, and a glittery blazer.  An amazing day off if I do say so myself.

it's in the constellations

Absolutely obsessed with Darwin Deez (head over to ilike.com to steam tracks, my favorites include constellations, up in the clouds, and radar detector). Quintessential summer tunes.
Download this NOW and immediately drive to the beach.

wyeth's fields

(forever 21 dress, belt, and necklace, DIY denim headband (cut from a vintage chambray shirt) nine west wedge, h&m satchel)

This outfit is a bit out of my comfort zone as I tend to gravitate more towards structured, tailored, and trendy clothing articles.  That being said, as soon as I saw this pretty little number at our store I knew it must be mine.  For this shoot, we thought it best to capture an earthy, airy feel, so we took a walk out to Tift Nature Preserve to catch the last of the remaining daylight.  Later on we finished our outdoor adventure with a picnic in the park.

I graduated with a dual degree in Art History and Painting so when I saw how the first photo turned out it immediatley reminded me of Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World.

singular and enchanted

"But that I should feel any resentment against you, Nastenka! That I should cast a dark shadow over your bright, serene happiness! ...That I should crush a single one of those delicate blooms which you will wear in your dark hair when you walk up the aisle to the altar with him! Oh no — never, never! May your sky be always clear, may your dear smile be always bright and happy, and may you be for ever blessed for that moment of bliss and happiness which you gave to another lonely and grateful heart ... Good Lord, only a moment of bliss? Isn't such a moment sufficient for the whole of a man's life?"
- White Nights  Dostoevsky

A book I read several years ago, these images conjure a certain sense of passion and independence.

25 hours in Buffalo

A new and very talented friend and photographer Ysa Perez graced us with her presence two weekend's past.  Check out her portfolio here.  We spent Saturday grunging around Allentown during the annual summer art festival.  Several mimosas later we decided to do a little impromptu photo shoot. Shortly after we all gathered round to watch Vampiros Lesbos , paint our nails, and curl hairs in anticipation of the  MSTRKRFT show.  My friend Kayta had the hookup and nabbed us free bottle service and a VIP booth.  New friends are always welcome in the loft. Can't wait to reconnect in NYC.

Sorry for the lack of posts as of late.  I left my computer charger at a birthday party we djed last Saturday (she works hard for her money!)  and have yet to retrieve it.  This was the outfit I wore last Friday while attending The National and Rufus Wainwright concert.  It was a gorgeous (yet hot) day.  Honestly it was one of the best outdoor concerts I've ever attended.  Rufus nearly brought me to tears. We were even alloted a mini meet and greet with him post show.

This was an outfit I wore to a failed boat cruise.  I say failed because it never materialized, due to poor weather conditions.
Tonight I get to see two of my absolute favorite bands The National and Rufus Wainwright.
I'm sure it will result in buckets of tears.

"This pricey stuff makes me dizzy
I guess I've always been a delicate man
Takes me a day to remember a day
I didn't mean to let it get so far out of hand
I was a comfortable kid
But I don't think about it much anymore
Lay me on the table, put flowers in my mouth
And we can say that we invented a summer lovin' torture party"

"I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!" -Lewis Carroll
